Story so Far:
Kara Danvers is now one of the world’s top menaces. The DEO will stop at nothing to take her down. Her enemy list is growing far too great for the girl who has only recently found the peace she had strived so hard to obtain.
It’s gone to hell in a hand basket. Nothing is going right for Kara Danvers, the student, and Supergirl, the hero or the “villain” as the world is slowly starting to see any of the supers as. When Kara goes to try to save a young child and his pet, she’s met with open fire. Hurt, but not surprised, she stood tall. What she didn’t expect was the fact that the guns the DEO now carries can actually pierce her. Kara is questioned by someone at school who seems to know far too much about her, as Kara, despite only knowing her as Supergirl.
What This Could Mean (Spoilers possible):
Supergirl is in for an arc full of grief, violence, and fear. She isn’t able to save anyone the way she longs to, and the world is making her their number one priority to take down. Kara has too many enemies at her back to know how to open up and be able to fight back just yet.
The art is fantastic, specialized, and expressive. Kara has my full attention. I’m enjoying the story lines that come with Rebirth. Supergirl has been in need of this kind of hype that can only come with a well written comic, and Rebirth delivers. If you aren’t on board yet, you need to check her out. You’ll understand the love and the hype behind Supergirl once you read her yourself.
