What You Need to Know: The Metal Story Arc continues as the Dark Knights have taken the fallen Justice League to the castle of [REDACTED] inside the possessed Gotham City.  There they will be prepared for sacrifice! But there is still one member of the Justice League who hasn’t given up hope yet.

In This Issue: It’s all about Cyborg in this issue. Not that it’s a bad thing. Even though he is still being held captive by the Dark Knights who are flooding his Mother Box with Energy from the Dark Multiverse. It seems they want to extract the Element X from inside him. But it’s the Mother Box itself that reaches out to Cyborg, telling him that it is time for him to release the true power of Element X.

Only problem, if he releases the power, it could potentially destroy the thing that makes Cyborg Who Cyborg is, his heart. An image of a bird appears to Cyborg telling him not to give in but Cyborg feels it is his job to save the team. It is then he realizes that it is that part of him that makes him powerful and he is able to combine the power of his heart and Element X producing “Cyborg One Million, Baby!” He frees his Justice League friends and the friend who appeared to him in a bird form escaping to the Multiverse or the HYPERTIME, a web of time streams outside the Multiverse to make a plan on how to finally defeat the Dark Knights and Barbatos.

Summary
Cyborg is truly the heart of the Justice League, if you didn’t believe it before then you will believe it reading this volume. Not a lot of big fight scenes in this issue so expect a lot of well written and kind of heart wrenching dialogue. I very much look forward to seeing how the Justice League takes down the Dark Knights, Barbatos included.
