The life you save just might be your own.

What You Need to Know:  Fighting anxiety is one thing.  Fighting Bolphunga the Unrelenting is another.  Jessica Cruz manages to work the courage up to speak to her boss so she can overcome her fear of interacting with people by asking for a change of job from kitchen to serving.  Before she can finish her request, a massive humanoid creature bursts into the restaurant, demanding to be seen by a Green Lantern.

What You’ll Find Out:  Both Jessica Cruz and Simon Baz, who was in the middle of a “date” with Night Pilot, a woman he met through a superhero dating app (yes, this really happened), do battle with a warlord named Bolphunga the Unrelenting.  But all is not what it seems to be.

Speaking of things not being what they appear, on the planet Ungara (which you might remember from the last issue where the Molites were brought when their planet was consumed by a supernova) where a high ranking official is found dead in an alley, and the Molites are the main suspects.

What Just Happened:  Baz and Cruz get to the bottom of who Bolphunga is, and why he is on Earth looking for a Green Lantern specifically, and he’s just the tip of the iceberg and there is a much more dire threat looming on the horizon.

Summary
I love seeing what artists and writers do with the powers of the Green Lantern rings; we see Jessica Cruz conjure up a fish and slapping Bolphunga across the face with it.  Because the Lantern rings are limited only by the wearer’s imagination, the same holds true to the people behind the comic.  I really enjoy seeing what they come up with as offensive and defensive weapons.
