What you need to know:

The Original five X-Men were plucked out of the past by Beast to show Cyclops what a mistake he was making in the present. However, realizing that their past is now affecting the present, they intend to set things right by returning to the past.

What just happened?

The team have landed in 2099 and are comforted by Skullfire. Looks like going through the time stream is going to be a bit of an adventure. Bloodhawk questions them for messing with time travels, while Cerebra confirms they are the real deal, but Hudson is the odd one out. Beast explains to X-Men 2099 that something happened in the past because they were not there and he’s trying to get back home.

The X-Men of the future think they were sent there on purpose. But why are they hiding? Cyclops wants answers and Storm senses their uneasiness.

Time for some action! Enter the Alchemax public eye, all locked and loaded. Iceman agrees this future team must be X-Men as they are in trouble. The teams make a run for it, but run into more resistance waiting for them outside while Beast tries to get his tech to work again.

Hudson and Angel attack some of the cruising ships in the sky, Angel misses Laura, and meanwhile on the ground, Cyclops and Meanstreak are blasting their way through the attackers. As Hudson falls, a light show is given and the 05 sees that Angel had feathers and not the fiery wings he got from the Black Vortex.

We learn the X-Men took over the Alchemax business before they vanished, so that explains why they are going after the X-Men now. They are shown where all the unworthies have been taken and it does not look very pleasant. Plus they are all sick and dying, so Jean tries to ease their suffering and is informed that they were the ones who implemented these policies; the X-Men from the future were just trying to get medicine for the sick because Cyclops expected the future to be bad. Beast’s device is fixed by Cerebra

The camp is under attack and Beast is given a key and told to go resolve the issue in the past. The onslaught sentinel is upon them so Storm summons the thunder, but it appears to be rendered useless.

Beast makes the decision and pulls the team through the time stream, but where have they landed this time?

I have been into comics since the early 90's and my main passion has been X-men I collect books, figures and any collectiables I can get my hands on. For shoot the breeze I have the pleasure opening my eyes to new worlds and adventures. I also do the Across the Pond Trades where I get an opportunity to look at trade paperbacks and review them via our YouTube channel. I also have my own Facebook page and Youtube called Smerdp which is full of plastic goodness. Many Thanks Paul
Summary
I am liking the fact that Jean and Scott have a telepathic bond. One thing I hated was them not getting together and Jean ending up with Beast just did not sit well with me.Now as much as I find the O5 fun, I still want them to go back to the past. There are plenty of mutants that could shine; they didn't have to double up the characters. That being said, I do think that if this is the last O5 adventure, it's going to be one to remember.
Good
  • Fun twist at the end
  • O5 last adventure perhaps
Bad
  • Another potential future
