The Influence of the Sheeple – can it be overcome?

What You Need to Know

In the aftermath of the destruction of Rita’s base on the moon, she has now returned and re-establishing communications with Finster, along with repairing her throne of course.  In the meantime, a giant sheep monster is subjugating people through the power of suggestion and mind-altering wool.  Yes, that’s the creature’s primary weapon.

What You’ll Find Out

The power of The Sheeple, a giant sheep creature with an Illuminati sigil on its chest that spouts conspiracy theories like the earth being flat, the moon landing is fake, and that the Olsen twins are in actuality just one person.  When someone gets caught in its wool, it begins speaking the same way and joining in the cacophony of conspiracies.  Billy comes up with an ingenious plan, as Billy tends to do, to combat the Sheeple.

Concurrently, Grace – the Rangers’ governmental liaison and former Red Ranger – is learning about the presence of another monster.  This is potentially the one that is the “patient zero” of the current outbreak of creatures unleashed by Finster shortly before his incarceration by Grace and the Rangers.  Finster, however, is no longer a prisoner now that Rita has regained her moon base and has access to her full complement of magic and power.

What Just Happened

There is someone more powerful than Rita or the Rangers being held captive.  Billy finds him despite the security put in place to keep anyone and everyone out.  He may be the key to defeating the constant threat of Finster’s monsters that are wreaking havoc all over the world.

Final Thoughts

I thought this had some good political satire with the visual representation of how conspiracy theories and misinformation comes about by people becoming influenced by whoever is shouting the loudest.  I really enjoy Kyle Higgins’ writing style and this has been a really fun storyline.  I’m excited to see how this plays out.
