What you need to know:
The team have arrived to already find themselves in the past however this team are different they have killed the Brotherhood of Evil mutants apart from Magneto whom is saved by the 05.
Upon trying to discover what is going on they come across the future X-men Charles Xavier 2, Raze, Beast, Xorn, Bruiser, Ice Thing and Old Man Deadpool, this does not bode well for our group of heroes.
What just happened?
Quite simply Young Xavier saw an opportunity to fill the void in the past left by the 05 X-men where his final plan to change the course of the future for their benefit and finally be victorious.
Jean wants to know where the Professor is but he is subdued mainly because if he does not survive Xavier 2 will not exist. The debate who Daddy Xavier will believe, Bloodstorm simply states she killed the one in her world and as an unknown to the Brotherhood Xorn cannot contain her and she gets her licks in.
The whole thing feels like the Brotherhood try and change time as the X-men failed the Professors dream Xavier 2 is having a tantrum and wants Daddy’s approval.
Jean can repel the psychic attacks so it’s all level so the battle commences, Magneto is disappointed that his enemy are imposters and takes out Molly and Ice Thing. The race is on to free the Professor, plus Beast brings some unexpected guests to get the Brotherhoods butts to the curb which was really enjoyable to see.
So do the Brotherhood escape once more, will the timeline be restored or the team head back to the future, the Professor does something quite unexpected?
Ok so the time traveling adventure came to a pretty cool end although I am not sure it was not the conclusion some of us wanted.
Although I am enjoying them in the future I am concerned with all their growth plus cosmic changes how can they go back and be what they were before, I guess no one will notice a couple of years difference Marvel must have some form of plan right.
So all in all I felt like the plot was strong there are some fantastic dialogue scenes in this issue which really hit home that, the 05 team even thou they may want to stay in the future must have to go back home at some point.
The art was pretty awesome as there were a few fight scenes.
The major gripe I still have is the under use of characters such as Angel and Iceman and this continues again and I don’t understand why. Hudson might as well not be in this series because I think the only time I noticed him was during a fight scene I guess at least Bloodstorm got one quick ass moment.
As for the Brotherhood these guys make sense in terms of if the 05 are there which they should not be something bad is created in the form of this mixed bag of future X-men and also I thought their Beast was controlled by Xavier, I guess they must have taken control again.
