What you need to know:

After the adventure to prevent time from collapsing and their brush with the future Brotherhood the 05 team are back in the present.

What just happened?

Space where the Symbiotes live a hunter is after one that seems to have strayed from the pack, clearly there is more to be revealed regarding his story.

Meanwhile on Earth Scott is catching up with his space pirate Dad now that was a real space adventure back in the Cyclops series.Of course a conversation with an X-man would not be one without being interrupted except it is the Space Jammers who are caught with their pants down. Jean through her psychic rapport with Scott comes a running so it’s off to space to save the day, I did find it odd for young Jean to shout to me my X-men and it still feels wrong that she acts like there Leader.

One thing I was looking forward with this issue was seeing Eddie Brock back in the Venom Guise and seeing him back in action gave me a classic crossover feeling. As you would expect the usual Hero vs well am not sure if Venom is a hero this days but anyway they get down to the gritty fighting and well it ends up with a kidnapping and heading into outer space inside Danger but what do they find when they arrive?

Final Thoughts

It is not a bad start plenty of story and I like that he has ditched the extended team even thou the Starjammers and Venom have arrive it feels fresh and not a tease that the original five may finally return home. The plot seems straight forward Dad gets captured, Son and co team up with expert on the kidnappers and head out into space in what used to be their old Danger room. The interaction between Eddie/Venom and the kids is perfect from dialogue to their actions I feel like Cullen truly knows the characters he is writing. Although saying that I would like to see and hear from Iceman and Angel, yes they are great in fight scenes but that seems to be all they are good for. This issue is clearly the Venom show and he add some amazing scenes.

I have been into comics since the early 90's and my main passion has been X-men I collect books, figures and any collectiables I can get my hands on. For shoot the breeze I have the pleasure opening my eyes to new worlds and adventures. I also do the Across the Pond Trades where I get an opportunity to look at trade paperbacks and review them via our YouTube channel. I also have my own Facebook page and Youtube called Smerdp which is full of plastic goodness. Many Thanks Paul
