What you need to know:

Magneto’s enemies are knocking at the door so he goes on the offensive but against a team like the White Queen, Havok, Ms Sinister, Bastion and Shaw does his team stand a chance.

Meanwhile shockingly Malice takes over Polaris whilst Bloodstorm and Howlett are sent on a mission.

What just happened?

There is no holding back in this issue…straight into action as Shaw is powered up on mothervine and Magneto both defending their causes, but is it through sheer arrogance that they see theirs are the right one? One thing I can tell you their fight tears through the pages.

Xorn who only wants to be left in peace is confronted by Toad and his team and asked to join but it is clear they may have bitten off more than they can chew giving Xorn an ultimatum or is it the other way round?

Howlett and Bloodstorm jump in the thick of things against Ms. Sinister’s marauders, Malice reveals that Ms. Sinister’s intentions were to be over the young Jean Grey but she is happy with Polaris as her new plaything…I wonder what carnage she will do.

Does Polaris have what it takes to regain her body? Also there is a new player on the Chess board, but who is it?

Final Thoughts

I tell you what…It has been a long time since I was excited by an X-men story/arc and Blue is roping me in on a ride that I do not want to get off of and Cullen is bringing his A-game to the mutant universe.

I don’t want the story to drag on but there were a couple of moments in this issue that I thought “wait! slow down” but it was over before it had even began.

All in all I am feeling stoked with this series at present. What are your thoughts?

I have been into comics since the early 90's and my main passion has been X-men I collect books, figures and any collectiables I can get my hands on. For shoot the breeze I have the pleasure opening my eyes to new worlds and adventures. I also do the Across the Pond Trades where I get an opportunity to look at trade paperbacks and review them via our YouTube channel. I also have my own Facebook page and Youtube called Smerdp which is full of plastic goodness. Many Thanks Paul
Summary
Magneto left on Earth after the Original X-men went into space, his on the offensive against one of the greatest cast of ex X-men and Villains assembled.
Good
  • Malice Strikes
  • Mauraders Vs Xorn, Howlett and Bloodstorm
  • Battle for Power - Shaw Vs Magneto
Bad
  • Two plots over too quickly
  • Never been a fan of Xorn
  • Not enough Toad
  • Where on Earth was Havok, not in space with his brother that was for sure
