In true C2E2 fashion, Marvel New Media announced several upcoming projects that will be definitely be something to look forward to beyond just comic books and movies.
Earth’s Mightiest Show will be a showcase of everything from creator and celebrity interviews to on location tours, it’ll be a weekly tidbit of awesomeness surrounding all things Marvel. It will be hosted by Lorraine Cink and Langston Belton and will be for the die-hard fan as well as the casual moviegoer. This has everything you need to dive deeper into the Marvel universe.
They also announced a new bi-weekly podcast called Women of Marvel which will feature on-camera interviews co-hosted by Sana Amanat and Judy Stephens. This will be a behind the scenes look or what goes on at Marvel through the lens of women working in a predominantly male driven industry. This series was originally launched in 2014 and has since been relaunched February 2018.
Marvel Eat’s the Universe was also introduced. Celebrity Chef Justin Warner invites pop culture influencers to cook up some Marvel-centric eats in his kitchen. Launched April 2018.
Also coming out this month is Marvel Voices, hosted by Angelique Roche and released bi-weekly as both a podcast and set of video clips, this will be a unique look at the creators bringing unique and diverse characters to a wide audience.
And last, but definitely not least, Marvel announced that their first scripted podcast Wolverine: The Long Night is now available with top podcast listening service and content network Stitcher. Starring none other than Richard Armitage (the Hobbit, Capt. America: The First Avenger) as our favorite brooding mutant, Logan, who lives in a small fictional Alaskan town. A series of murders brings agents Sally Pierce (Celia Keenan-Bolger) and Tad Marshall (Ato Essandoh) to investigate only they discover the town lives in fear of a serial killer. The agents team up with deputy Bobby Reid (Andrew Keenan-Bolger) to investigate with Logan as the prime suspect.
