Last We Saw Lucifer:
Chloe was taking some time off to plan her wedding to Pierce and enjoy her bachelorette party. While Maize tries to keep it civil and make sure nothing goes wrong, Charlotte is trying to place doubt in Chloe’s mind. Meantime, Lucifer is working with Dan to solve a murder while also trying to better understand Chloe and the reasoning behind her choices.
Pierce has decided he wants his mark from God back. As he plans the best way to go about making it happen, he tries to bring Maize into the fray, but she decides she can’t go through with her part of the plan.
Amenadiel is still coping with why God has removed his wings and what his purpose on earth is. He and Charlotte spend a lot of time discussing what has happened to them and what their futures hold.
Chloe is investigating the murder of an ex-ball player’s wife while Lucifer tries to remind her of the days when they first began working together. The fact that Lucifer continues to try and make every part of the investigation like the original investigations begins to frustrate her and she begins to solve the case without him.
This season has fallen a bit, but this episode may have single-handedly saved the season. Lucifer finally realizes how Chloe has always felt while Amenadiel finds redemption along with Charlotte. Maize still can’t get back to Hell, but she realizes that she isn’t as willing to do whatever it takes to accomplish getting there as she thought. Most of all, although this wasn’t the season finale (one more episode), this episode ended on a very emotional down. Get your tissues ready.
