Jason and Diana. Here we go, again.
Diana is back and ready to help Jason fight the Dark Gods. They team up to tackle King Best, who appears to be the leaders of the Dark Gods. They accomplish this by dropping him in the ocean. That’s it. Steve Trevor offers a bit of exposition on the other Dark Gods and in response, Diana and Jason agree to divide and conquer. Diana meets with Steve and Jason goes to fight another of the Dark Gods who defeated him earlier. Later, Diana goes to back Jason and we see that a few things have changed.
WHAT MARY HAS TO SAY:
My god, this issue is boring and the dialogue is ridiculous. This run has been full of flaws and plot holes. The largest of these flaws is Diana’s manner of speech and there is a no bigger example of that than in this issue. Jason is somehow even more boring than his usual self. He’s spent most of the last few issues figuratively hiding behind Diana’s skirts. He wants to be a hero, but thinks he’ll be bad at it, that’s pretty much his entire character right now.
Needless to say, I look forward to Orlando’s run.
