*NEWS FLASH* DC ENTERTAINMENT ANNOUNCES NEW YOUNG ADULT AND MIDDLE GRADE GRAPHIC NOVELS #SDCC2018

Comic-Con International: San Diego 2018 (SDCC) is finally here! And off the top, DC ENTERTAINMENT comes out swinging with a barrage of new titles, authors, and artists for the next wave of YA & Middle-Grade graphic novels in an early morning press release.

DC Ink

DC Ink—DC’s young adult line of graphic novels—will bring along,Marieke Nijkamp, the #1 New York Times best-selling YA author of This Is Where It Ends. Nijkamp will pen an original tale about fan-favorite Oracle, the superhero alter ego of Pre-New 52 Barbara Gordon. Keeping it all in the family, Barbara will be joined by Cassandra Cain, in Shadow of The Batgirl, written by acclaimed author Sarah Kuhn, known for her popular Heroine Complex novels.”

Other titles announced include, “TRUTH OR CONSEQUENCES: A JACK HYDE STORY, the working title of an Aqualad story written by award-winning author Alex Sanchez (Rainbow Boys); DICK GRAYSON: LOST CARNIVAL, written by critically acclaimed comics writer Michael Moreci (Roche Limit); and Leigh Bardugo’s WONDER WOMAN: WARBRINGER, which will be adapted from its prose form into a graphic novel by writer Louise Simonson.

 

DC Zoom

Shannon and Dean Hale’s middle-grade graphic novel, DIANA, PRINCESS OF THE AMAZONS, will kick off the DC Zoom line. Chris Wildgoose was announced as the artist for Stuart Moore’s adaptation of Marie Lu’s BATMAN: NIGHTWALKER and revealed the graphic novel’s official cover (above). Both publishing lines will be released next Spring, April 2019
