Twin sisters Cate and Kate Harrow are paranormal investigators whose specialty is occult nuisances. Their latest case is of a bride whose husband to be was taken to hell in chains by a demon. Investigating further, they find there is more to this case.

Summary:

Cate and Kate’s latest investigation begins when Gloria, a bride-to-be, calls them to find out what happened to her fiance, Glenn. They investigate and to take a trip through Hell to find out more. Intercut with the investigation is a quick scene of a woman who wins a bottle of Jack Daniels in a contest.

Opinion:

Exorsisters #1 has an interesting mystery. Ian Boothby’s set-up was rather good and the reveal was well done. The investigation felt fairly straight-forward which helped a great deal instead of it being needlessly convoluted. There is a good balance of horror and comedy where one does not overshadow the other. Gisele Lagace’s art, particularly the Hell scenes, are quite good. Taylor Esposito’s letters are a highlight as the story could have teetered towards bad if they were not well done.
