The Devil’s in the Details. (Immortal Hulk #7 Comic Review)

Writer –  Al Ewing

Artist – Joe Bennett

Devil Hulk

What Happened – A boy in Iowa is playing with his action figures, when his father comes into his room and swoops him up. The family-run out of the house in a hurry as a fireball from the sky crashes nearby. On the outskirts of town, the Avengers are fighting the Hulk. He tears through them and easily defeats most members. Losing Iron Man prepare their last resort ‘Code Helios’ As a much more Hulked-out She-Hulk battles the Hulk. After everyone has cleared the area Tony fires on the Hulk. As they stand over the corpse of Bruce Banner, the Avengers talk about how though Bruce has died the Hulk will rise again. Banner wakes up apparently upside down and being spoken to by Doctor Clive at U.S. Hulk operations. The last Image sees the Hulk has been cut up and put in too little jars.

A Hulked Out She-Hulk.

My Thoughts – This series on a whole has been and great and this is another spectacular issue. every book tales it’s own little horror-ish tale. This one felt like a ‘humans Vs. the monster’ tale. With the Avengers battling this new ‘Devil Hulk’. The art uses color tones to emphasize the dark tones and themes of a man-turned-monster. the last page was a shock (especially for a Marvel comic).  I can’t wait until the next issue.
