Hulk-ty Dumpty??? (Immortal Hulk # Comic Review)

Writer – Al Ewing

Artist – Joe Bennett

What Happened – As the Hulk has been dissected by U.S. Hulk Operations,. They cut his heart in half only for it to heal itself when returned to the rest of him.  Dr Clive sits and mocks the severed head of the Hulk. On the Alpha Flight space station, Captain Marvel is recruiting Walter Langkowski for her new team Gamma Flight. Their mission is to Find the Hulk. Dr Clive is told by his bosses about Gamma Flight and is ordered to move the Hulk. As the Hulk stares back at him with a smile on his face, the Doctor realises that the Hulk had allowed himself to be captured to find out his limits He breaks out of the jars and starts rebuilding himself around his captor, killing him. As he breaks out of the base, it’s dawn and he reverts back to Bruce Banner. As he walks off in to the desert he hears his Father’s voice laughing.

The fall of Doctor Clive.

My Thoughts – As a huge horror fan this series is a really fun read. The artwork and the colouring is fantastic. I love how they use the Hulk’s trademark colours of purple and green for the tone. This issue was pretty graphic, with the cutting of a heart to seeing a man being consumed by the Hulk as he rebuilds himself.  The story is interesting but would be fun to see a few of the hulks allies show up. Overall this is definitely one comic I’m glad I picked up and continually enjoy.  .
